The Challenge

Managing the rapid evolution of CAD data while ensuring CAE teams can efficiently analyse and provide feedback on hundreds of load cases presents a significant challenge. Traditional CAD/PLM-based tracking methods are often not suited to the fast-paced development process, leading to friction in synchronising design changes with CAE workflows. As a result, critical engineering decisions can be delayed, impacting development timelines and efficiency.

The Solution

To address these challenges, we implemented an automation-driven approach that shifted CAD evolution tracking from the CAD/PLM domain to the CAE environment. This provided CAE teams with greater control over the process while minimising reliance on manual tracking. The automated system handled PLM data mirroring, design change tracking, and structured downstream actions, ensuring seamless integration between CAD and CAE environments.
